There is nothing more Important than a good, safe, secure home.

In the last article ‘The Terrible Two, What can we do?’ We talked about the importance of having a childproof home, the idea was that by having a childproof house our children could move more freely.
At home we have surge protectors, but a couple of Wednesday ago were picking up the toys my children had in the living room. We all picked them up except the youngest, I thought he was picking them up because he was under the table of their computer.
The second time I passed through there, I looked in detail to see what he was doing. To my surprise, in one hand he held a screwdriver and a screw in the other (we had moved a week ago and we had not finishing of putting in place all the surge protectors) and he was introduced them into outlets on the power strip. I can’t tell you whether the strip was on or off, I think it was off, my older son says he turned it off.
I reminded my son how dangerous this was, and being six years I did not think this could happen because it’s something that we talked about in the past. After a few hours, I was more calmed and I remembered that this particular strip, the ones that my kids have on their computer is a child-proof strip that I had bought nine years ago, when my oldest son was born (hence did not have protectors).
After remembering this, I felt relieved that I made the right decision years ago and so today I would like to remind the importance of conditioning our homes to be childproof.
